01Service
Resin Driveways
Resin-bound gravel gives you a smooth, continuous surface with a natural stone look and none of the mess of loose gravel. Because it's permeable, water drains through the surface rather than running off it, which keeps puddles off the drive and keeps you the right side of surface-water rules. It stays put when the bins are wheeled over it, there are no joints for weeds to find, and a sweep and an occasional wash is about all the maintenance it ever needs. Laid over a properly prepared and compacted base, it's the surface we'd point you at first if kerb appeal is the priority.

Block Paved Driveways
Block paving is the classic British driveway for good reason. It comes in a wide range of colours, sizes and finishes and can be laid in herringbone, stretcher bond or basketweave with a contrasting border or soldier course to frame it. It's tough enough to carry cars every day, and if a service trench is ever dug or a block is stained, individual units lift out and go back rather than needing the whole drive patching. We dig out to depth, build and compact the sub-base, set the edge restraints in concrete and finish with a kiln-dried sand joint so the whole field locks together.

Tarmac Driveways
Tarmac is still the most cost-effective way to cover a large driveway properly, and a well-laid one looks far better than its reputation suggests. Rolled hot onto a compacted base and finished with a crisp edging — block, kerb or paving — it gives a clean, uniform, jet-black surface that sheds water fast and takes heavy use in its stride. It's quick to install, which keeps disruption down, and it can be laid to falls across an awkward slope where jointed surfaces would struggle. Ideal for longer drives, shared accesses and farm or rural entrances.

Artificial Grass Installation
For shaded gardens, dog owners, small children and anyone who would rather use the garden than maintain it, artificial grass solves the problem outright. We strip the old lawn, excavate, install a drainage layer and a compacted, laser-levelled base, then lay and pin the turf with seams glued so they disappear. We cut clean curved borders rather than leaving a hard rectangle, so the finished lawn looks intentional instead of like a carpet dropped in the garden. One client's summary was blunt and about right: before, uneven grass and mud everywhere after rain; after, clean and tidy astro turf.

Full Garden Transformations
This is the work we most enjoy: clearing a whole garden back to bare ground and rebuilding it around how you actually want to live outside. A typical scheme runs from clearance and levels through to premium porcelain paving, sleeper or brick retaining where the ground needs holding, artificial grass or new turf, planted borders, bespoke LED lighting set into steps and walls, and a luxury outdoor living area to sit and eat in. One garden we rebuilt had been left in a state by another firm — we took it back to nothing, did it properly and had the whole thing sorted quickly. Modern, low-maintenance and designed for year-round use, not just three weeks in July.

Free visit & written quote
Call or email and we'll arrange a time to come and look at the garden or driveway with you. We take the levels, look at drainage, access and what the ground is actually made of, listen to what you want the space to do, then put a clear written quotation to it. It's free, and there's no obligation to go ahead.

Dig out, base, install
Nearly every job starts underground. We dig out, cart the spoil away and build a properly compacted sub-base with the falls and drainage designed in — then the resin, blocks, tarmac, porcelain or artificial grass goes on top of something that will hold. Kerbs, edgings and borders are set true so the finish keeps its line for years, not months.

Finished, swept and cleared
We don't call a job done until the site is clean. Spoil and offcuts away, the drive and paths swept, everything left ready to use — it's the thing our reviews mention most often, alongside turning up on time. Then we photograph the finished job, because that's what goes on this website.

Do you charge for a quotation?
No — the site visit and the written quotation are free and carry no obligation. We itemise the groundwork rather than burying it, so you can compare our price like-for-like against anyone else's.
Which driveway surface should I choose?
Resin bound is seamless and permeable, block paving is the most versatile and the easiest to repair, tarmac is the practical choice for a larger drive. We'll give you a straight recommendation on site — and there's a full comparison in our driveway and paving guide.
Do you do the groundwork, or just the surface?
The groundwork is most of the job: dig out to depth, spoil away, a properly compacted sub-base, falls and drainage set so water never runs toward the house, and edgings haunched in concrete.
Is artificial grass any good with dogs and children?
It's usually why people ring us. On a proper drainage layer and levelled base it drains straight through, stays green all winter and has no mud and no bare patches.
Which areas do you cover?
