Before you call
Do you charge for a quotation?
No. The site visit and the written quotation are both free and come with no obligation. We'll arrange a time that suits you, walk the driveway or the garden, take levels, look at drainage and access, and then put a clear written price to it with the groundwork itemised rather than buried. If you decide to go elsewhere, that's genuinely fine.
Who will actually turn up?
The same small crew that quoted the job. We're an independent outfit, not a franchise passing work down a chain, and there's no sales layer between you and the people holding the tools. Our reviews name the lads who did the work — one customer wrote that Charlie and Will were both great, worked hard and paid attention to everything.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Harrogate and serve York, Leeds and the surrounding areas. If you're anywhere in that triangle it's worth ringing — we're almost certainly local to you, and if we can't help we'll say so rather than waste your time.
You're a young company. Why should I take the risk?
It's the fair question, and the honest answer is that a new firm can't afford a single bad job. Every review on our Google profile so far is a five-star one, and one client put the reason better than we could: you can tell they genuinely care about doing a quality job, even just starting out. We'd rather be judged on the work we can show you than on a founding date.

The work itself
What do you actually take on?
Driveways in resin, block paving and tarmac; artificial grass installation; patios and porcelain paving; and full garden transformations taking a space from clearance through to paving, retaining, lighting and an outdoor living area. Hard landscaping, in other words — the structural end of a garden rather than weekly maintenance.
Which driveway surface should I choose?
It depends on the frontage, the budget and where the water goes. Resin bound is seamless, permeable and the most premium-looking. Block paving is endlessly variable and the easiest to repair invisibly. Tarmac is the practical, cost-effective choice for a larger drive and looks smart with a proper block or kerb edge. Do you do the groundwork, or just the surface?
The groundwork is most of the job. We dig out to depth, cart the spoil away, build and compact a proper sub-base, set falls and drainage so water never runs toward the house, and haunch the edgings in concrete. A surface laid on a thin bed of sand over undug ground will look identical for about a year, and then it won't.
Is artificial grass any good with dogs and children?
It's usually the reason people ring us about it. Laid on a drainage layer and a compacted, levelled base, it drains straight through, doesn't turn to mud, has no bare patches under the trampoline and stays green through a Yorkshire winter. We cut it to curved borders and glue the seams so it reads as a lawn, not a carpet.
How long does a job take?
It varies with size and with what we find when we dig, which is exactly why we'd rather see the site than guess over the phone. What we will do is give you a realistic window in the quotation and tell you straight away if anything on site changes it — several of our reviews mention how quickly the work got sorted once we started.
Finishing up
Will you clear up after yourselves?
Every time. Spoil and offcuts taken away, the drive and paths swept, and the space left ready to use. It comes up in our reviews more than anything except timekeeping, and it's not an accident — we don't call a job finished until it's clean.
What maintenance will the finished job need?
Resin wants a sweep and an occasional wash. Block paving wants the joints re-sanded every few years and the odd weed pulled. Tarmac is close to zero. Porcelain needs a wash. Artificial grass wants a brush through and leaves cleared in autumn. We'll run through the specifics of whatever we've laid for you before we leave site.
Are the photographs on this site your own work?
Yes — every photograph in the gallery is a job we finished ourselves, taken on site. Nothing on this website is a stock image of someone else's driveway or a supplier's brochure shot.
Can I see something similar to my garden before I commit?
