A young firm with a record it can't afford to spoil.
Lux Landscape Gardeners is a small, independent outfit working out of Harrogate. We're not decades old and we don't pretend to be — what we have is a Google profile where every single review so far is five stars, and a very direct reason to keep it that way. As one client put it, you can tell we genuinely care about doing a quality job, even just starting out.
The work itself is driveways and hard landscaping: resin, block paving and tarmac out the front; porcelain paving, artificial grass, bespoke lighting and full garden rebuilds out the back. One customer came to us after another company had royally messed up their garden — we put it right quickly and at a fair price. Another went from uneven grass and mud everywhere after rain to a clean, tidy astro-turfed lawn. That is the job, really: turn up when we say, work hard, leave it better than anyone expected.

Every image in the gallery is a job we finished ourselves, photographed on site the day we left. No stock driveways, no supplier brochure shots, no borrowed gardens.

The base, not just the top
Dig out to depth, spoil away, a compacted sub-base, falls and drainage set properly, edgings haunched in concrete. Skip that and a drive looks identical for a year — then it doesn't.

Free visit & written quote
Call or email and we'll arrange a time to come and look at the garden or driveway with you. We take the levels, look at drainage, access and what the ground is actually made of, listen to what you want the space to do, then put a clear written quotation to it. It's free, and there's no obligation to go ahead.

Dig out, base, install
Nearly every job starts underground. We dig out, cart the spoil away and build a properly compacted sub-base with the falls and drainage designed in — then the resin, blocks, tarmac, porcelain or artificial grass goes on top of something that will hold. Kerbs, edgings and borders are set true so the finish keeps its line for years, not months.

Finished, swept and cleared
We don't call a job done until the site is clean. Spoil and offcuts away, the drive and paths swept, everything left ready to use — it's the thing our reviews mention most often, alongside turning up on time. Then we photograph the finished job, because that's what goes on this website.

We're based in Harrogate and work out across York, Leeds and the surrounding areas — three very different sorts of property, from Victorian terraces and stone cottages to new-build estates where the garden is still builder's clay and rubble.
